Data handling rules

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how relevant data is handled when users visit the 14VPN website, create an account, purchase subscription services, and use network acceleration features. 14VPN uses data only as needed to provide services, complete orders, protect account security, troubleshoot issues, and improve the website. Information unrelated to the service is not required for registration.

Account and Order Data

Creating a 14VPN account does not require an email address; a username and password are enough. 14VPN does not collect an email address when an account is created. The account system must store the username, password verification data, subscription status, traffic usage, and necessary security status for authentication, plan delivery, traffic accounting, and account management.

When a user purchases a monthly subscription or traffic package, the system creates an order record containing the selected item, amount due, payment status, order time, and transaction identifier. These records are retained to confirm service delivery, reconcile accounts, process refund requests, and resolve order disputes. Order records are not used to analyze which websites a user has visited.

Analytics and the No-Logs Principle

The website may record page views, referring pages, browser type, device category, and basic error information to check whether pages load correctly, detect unusual requests, and improve on-site content. This analytics data concerns the website's operation and is not used to build a cross-site browsing profile.

14VPN follows a no-logs service principle: it does not record which websites users visit or which online services they use, and it does not retain request content that could reconstruct an individual's online activity. Temporary session state needed to maintain a connection is used only to establish the current connection, route traffic, and calculate usage. After the connection ends, it is not retained as a long-term personal browsing history.

When a user voluntarily submits a support ticket, the time, device environment, error messages, and diagnostic results provided in the ticket are used to identify the issue. Do not submit passwords, complete payment credentials, or personal details unrelated to the issue in a support ticket.

Cookies and Local Storage

The website and user panel use Cookies or browser local storage to save login sessions, language selection, interface preferences, and necessary security status. This data keeps users signed in, restores page settings, and completes on-site actions. After browser storage is cleared, users may need to sign in again and reselect relevant preferences.

Some basic analytics may rely on same-domain identifiers to distinguish consecutive visits, but this does not change 14VPN's no-logs principle. Browsers can restrict or clear Cookies. If storage needed to maintain a session is disabled, account login, order processing, or subscription management may not work correctly.

Payments and Third-Party Processing

14VPN supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Payments are processed by the relevant payment channel or network, whose data practices are managed separately. 14VPN generally receives the payment result, amount, and transaction identifier needed to complete an order, but does not receive the complete account credentials entered on a third-party payment page.

When a user requests a refund or asks about a payment issue, necessary order information may be checked between 14VPN and the relevant payment channel. This processing is used only to confirm transaction status, issue refunds, and prevent duplicate accounting. A full, no-questions-asked refund may be requested within 7 days of the first payment; the specific process is subject to the Terms of Use and the order page.

Data Retention, Deletion, and Policy Updates

Account data is retained while the account is active and for as long as needed to provide subscription services. Order and refund records are kept for the periods necessary for accounting reconciliation, dispute handling, and applicable requirements. Website analytics are deleted when no longer needed or converted into aggregated information that cannot be directly linked to an account. Support ticket data is cleared as operationally necessary after issue resolution and any required review are complete.

Users can submit requests to access, correct, or delete account data through the support ticket function in the user panel. After receiving a request, 14VPN first verifies account ownership and then processes data that can be deleted. Records still needed for an incomplete order, refund, dispute handling, security investigation, or applicable obligations may be retained until the relevant matter ends.

If this privacy policy changes, the updated content and “Last updated” date will be posted on this page. Important changes involving data categories, processing purposes, or user rights will be clearly announced through the website or user panel. Before continuing to use the service, users can review the updated terms and decide whether to continue.
